Carol Bailey is a sports trooper. Team New Orleans gives Carol a resounding "You Bowl Girl!" Amsterdam is her first GAY GAMES, but Carol is not naïve when it comes to international travel. Her favorite pastime is shopping…in Mexico. Shopping isn't her only hobby. She spends lots of time on the tennis court, the softball field, and the lanes. Ask Carol what she does to stay on top, she says, "Practice, Practice, Practice." The mantle in her New Orleans home is full of trophies. Her past achievements include winning many Fast/Slow Pitch Championships. She's a member of the Bayou Women's Tennis Club, which sponsors the only all-women's tennis tournament on the GLTA circuit. The excitement of going to GAY GAMES V is overwhelming. She's excited at the prospect of competing in an atmosphere where everyone is free to be themselves to play, to learn, to share. Carol say's, "there has been a real surge of acceptance of gays and lesbians among the general populace during the last year. I would like to see this continue into the future." Her favorite color is rainbow.

Donna Moore is a New Orleanian who feels strongly about sports. She also feels strongly about her community. Her varied interests include tennis and softball. She's played ball since age 6. That's dedication. Her commitments include her selfless contributions to New Orleans Gay Pride and New Orleans Celebration. She says, "New Orleans needs more unity in the community. We should have greater participation." Donna is looking forward to the thrill of being with the gay community from around the world. She feels that the GAY GAMES V will show support and visibility of the gay community in a positive way Her event in Amsterdam will be tennis. She is gearing up for international debut by eating lots of pasta with red sauce. Her favorite color is blue.
